What’s the ride in from the airport… an Aston Martin Rapide. We meet up with Emma Gwyther who tells us more about the Thermal Motorsports race track and lifestyle. The good times never seem to end, when Lexus drops off a long term ‘Loaner’ car for Adam. We take a peek at his new Lexus ISF.

Special thanks to Emma Gwyther for putting the Thermal Motorsports tour together and JetSuite for the quick lift out to Thermal in their Embraer Phenom Jet (and the ice cold beer!), and lastly the fine folks at Desert European Motorcars for the use of the Aston Martin Rapide.

Aston Martin Rapide

April 15, 2011

Here is a peek at the Aston Martin Rapide. While down in La Quinta resort we had access to the Rapide, and take a look at the car in it’s native environment. The Big Aston is a stunning example of fine styling and we will let Adam and Sandy battle out which is better looking the Aston Rapide or the Porsche Panamera.

And special thanks to Desert European Motorcars in Palm Desert, CA for the use of the Aston Martin Rapide while touring La Quinta.

Derelict Wagon

April 8, 2011

This weeks featured car is a really cool ride. Jonathan Ward from TLC (Toyota Land Cruiser) who brought us the his new ICON version of the Land Cruiser and Military Jeep brings us something completely different… A station wagon? Well this is about a cool a wagon as it gets, a 1952 Chrysler Town and Country custom wagon, which has the front end replaced with a DeSoto front end. Why? Because he could! Jonathan’s ride features a late model hemi engine but even that is dressed up to look old school. The workmanship is awesome when you get close and see how it was set up. This car was featured in Hot Rod Magazine May 2011, and it deserves it!
