Show Summary

Adam Carolla and the Professor Sandy Ganz take a ride back into time with Matt Pumphrey of Owner of “Woodies and Wheels”. Matt is a featured restorer of pre-war Automobiles. Matt brings in his own 1912 Ford Model T which has been converted into a pre-war racer, and finally the featured car this week is Randy’s hopped up Mini-Cooper with more gadgets then the Green Hornet.

    That was an excellent podcast guys. you know, it’s amazing how many US automobile manufacturers existed between 1895 and 1920. At least 500 of them all over the country with the lion’s share of them around New England and the midwest. Some only existed for a year or so, while others on the average lasted 5 years.

    It’s great to know that people of all ages are still interested in the brass era stuff. Knowing how to work on these cars and their quirks keeps them off the museums and out in the open for all of us to see, hear and of course, smell.

    I really enjoyed the Hall Scott “Woodies and Wheels” episode. I know it’s not quite Adams flavor, but I know he can appreciate that such a young man, has such a passion to keep the past history of autos alive. It’s usually older men reliving some dream they have always had. God bless them. But Hall will go a long way in his restorations. Jay, look this guy up!

      We will, he has some cool stuff in the works that I hope he can share with the show. The Hall-Scott racer looks like a crazy project and hopefully will be able to get more of this for the show! Great guest!

    Great show Matt! The car looks beautiful. I’m sorry I didn’t get a chance to ride in it last June. I love the history behind the cars, although I’m not much of a car guy. Keep up the great work! I hope you get a chance to go back on the show!
