McLaren M6B and the Lotus Evora

We get a special treat this week. Toluca Lake Classic Motorsports brings down a restored McLaren M6B to the shop as well as Lotus USA bringing down a 2010 Evora. We take a close look at the cars, lift the panels, and fire it up. Nothing like the sound of high compression and open exhaust. At the other end of the spectrum, a new 2010 Evora. We take a peek at both of the cars.

This weeks show we feature Carsten Preisz VP of Sales and Marketing for Spyker America. Carsten brings in a Spyker C8 Laviolette. We find out more about the history of Spyker and what some of the plans for future cars and SUV’s we can expect to see. We then take a look at the car and hear about some of the features and styling that makes the Spyker a unique hand built automobile. Adam and Sandy then hit some practice sessions over at the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race and gab with legendary driver Steve Millen of Stillen racing and finally a chat with Chuck Wade of Toyota to talk about the Scion’s that are being used in the race. While Adam is training for the Toyota Long Beach Celebrity Race, Sandy and Matt take your for tour of Bodie Stroud’s new Hot Rod Shop. Matt D’Andria jumps in as we look at Bodie’s projects which range from a 1956 Pickup to a new build he is just beginning that is based on a Boss 429 idea. Then Professor Ganz gets roped into more free labor instead or working on his projects, but at least he gets to explode a tire onto a rim backwoods style. And finally a peek at Mike Rowe’s first car. Hollywood Hot Rods

Adam and Sandy head out to Hollywood Hot Rods and meet up with owner Troy Ladd. They check out some of his shop and his cars. We also take a look at a new project using the new Ford 5.0 Coyote motors. We pop back to work on The Ripper and do some cutting for the new radiator. Then a look at a ‘Back to the Future’ car from the TMPCC car show. Enjoy!

Sandy and Matt get busy again. We start out with a quick post mortem on the engine and look at the block and a few of the mangled parts. Then we jump in with the air cutoff and chop a larger opening in the radiator support for the new Fluidyne radiator.
