Datsun, Museum and SEMA Part I

December 3, 2010

Adam Carolla rolls down to San Diego area and makes a couple of stops, he hits Symboilic Motors in La Jolla to check out yet another Paul Newman’s 1987 300zx 2+2 race cars. After the quick visit to Symbolic Motors Adam heads on down to the San Diego Automotive Museum check out his own Paul Newman race car and a few of the historic Datsun and Nissan cars on display. The next segment brings part I of the SEMA show where Sandy Ganz and Motorator Matt make the trek to Las Vegas and talk to folks including – Ring Brothers, Flowmaster, Liquid Wrench, Steve Strope and Bodie Stroud. We wrap up with this weeks tech tool tip, “Tapping and You”. Enjoy the show!

Adam Carolla and Sandy Ganz take you out to the races. The Professors loads up Adam’s Bob Sharp Datsun 610 and pull an early run out to the HSR-West event in Fontana California hosted at the Auto Club Speedway. Les Canaday of Classic Datsun is there in hand to help out with the car prep and keep things running smooth. Adam narrates the race and finishes just out of reach of the podium even after a couple of driver ‘glitches’. And How about this, we return to investment cars and then finally jump in with Stan Misraje’s 1940 Ford Woody Wagon. Enjoy the Show!

Special CarCast Race Show, Adam Carolla at the Coronado Speed Festival. Adam, the Bob Sharp Datsun 610 Make its Debut. The CarCast crew report the event with special In-Car-Cam shots of the racing action. During all of this, Ace and the Weez pull a quick trip to check out the Miura and talk interior with Gary Bobileff, then back to the track. Special track feature with driver profile and Duane Norman. We pick up with a cool car, the Iso Rivolta, then Ace Back on the track for Qualifying. Day 2 we jump in with Adam, Sandy, and Donny rolling to the track and discussing investment race cars then the big race. Wrap it up with Celebrity cars.

Duane Norman’s Datsun 510

October 2, 2009

Special Guest Car and Race Driver this week. Duane Norman and his Datsun 510 Racer share his background and show off his special Datsun 510. Duane was in a racing accident that resulted in a spinal-cord injury that left him wheelchair bound. Well that was only for a short time, Duane built and ran a dune buggy and picked up his pilots license, but racing was still wanted to do and here we are with this weeks Racer Profile and Guest Car. Duane’s 510 with it’s custom control systems helps keep him at the front of the pack.
