Where They Raced

This weeks episode of CarCast with Adam Carolla and the Professor Sandy Ganz bring Harold Osmer. Harold is the Author of “Where they Raced” a detailed book on Southern California racing from 1900 to 2000. Harry Pallenberg also joins and is working on the Documentary of ‘Where they Raced’. We toss in a special old recording of Adam’s version of the hyper-amped Drag racing radio promo you might hear back in the 1980’s. Another Tech segment? Yes, the Professor experiments with air filters and finds out that they can be renewed and which flows the best. Enjoy the show!

Harold Osmer brings in his work truck, a 1951 Chevrolet 3100 that has been decorated with many automotive and racing stickers as a way to avoid doing some extra body work and save some bucks. Ends up being the perfect vintage truck to help promote his vintage racing books.

Pebble Beach Bonus Rant

Here is a special Bonus Rant from Adam and the Pebble Beach crew getting stuck behind a ‘challenged’ driver. This was shot on the way to the Concorso Italiano car show 2010 when a slow driver irritates Adam. Ganz, Weez and Adam’s friend Dave are all packed into the Jaguar for this quick ride. And the picture, not Adam’s Miura…


The Ripper Test Run

October 16, 2010

Video of first test run at Willow Springs, the Streets. Car ran good except for a smokey engine problem. Engine definitely needs to come out for a tear down as something is not quite right. Ran good otherwise, and gearbox was a vast improvement over the TKO that was removed.

Note first lap was a warm up, skip to 5:00 minute mark that’s the start of the actual testing. And as always with The Ripper, PLAY LOUD

Pebble Beach 2010 Part 2

Part Two of Pebble Beach. Adam Carolla and the Professor Sandy Ganz takes you on their annual Pebble Beach run. Ace, Ganz and the Weez jump into Adam’s Jaguar and roll to Monterey.

In “Part Two” we head out to the Pebble Beach Concourse in the beautiful Monterey Bay. We catch up with McLaren’s Design Director Frank Stephenson for an interview to talk about the new McLaren MP4-12C.

Then how about the CarCast crew heads out to check out Hotchkis Sport Suspension and their new facilities. We meet with John Hotchkis and we gives us the grand tour.

Pebble Beach 2010 Part 1

Part one of a two part Pebble Beach episode. Adam Carolla and the Professor Sandy Ganz takes you on the annual Pebble Beach run. Ace, Ganz and the Weez jump into Adam’s Jaguar and roll to Monterey. We visit the auctions, an Italian Car show, vintage racing and even have enough time to toss back a couple of beers. Team Eyesore Racing brings down the “FrankenMiata”, their 24Hrs of LeMONS winning racer. This is a supercar of a different nature, faster then an a a 2009 Porsche Carrera S Cabriolet and the car cost less then the Porsche oil change service. We have a rare interview with Team Eyesore to find out more about the current incarnation of the car, which is currently themed as Star Trek Enterprise… warp drives and all.

Special thanks to Dave, Sara, Sarah, and Kyle for bringing down the car and coming in character, that’s dedication!
