Special guest Brian Austin Green sits down with Adam and Sandy to talk about school, Megan Fox, and oh, the Long Beach Grand Prix. We settle the score with a review of Adam and Brian’s in car camera and find out what really went down. Let’s not forget about Adrien Brody and his ‘questionable’ yellow flag move. Then out to the lot were we do a walk around with Brian and his fine 1966 Mustang Fastback. Enjoy the Show!

Stillen Open House Video

The Mitty, Road Atlanta

May 8, 2010

Adam Carolla and Sandy Ganz and the CarCast crew (Donny) jump on an eastbound plane and head for Atlanta. The trip – Speedfest at the Classic Motorsports Mitty 2010 held at Road Atlanta, and this year Ace has a couple of cars down for the show. BRE and Datsun are the mark for the vintage race with many classic Datsuns in attendance. We chat with some great racers and enjoy conversation with a few folks while we toss back a beer. Then Ganz and Motorator Matt do some more hack job work on the ripper, only to find that one good hack job leads to another. Enjoy the show, and check below for the many photos!

The Ripper : Transmission Swap P1

This weeks simple project was to try to get the new transmission fitted into the car. The new gearbox is different then the Tremec TKO 5 speed that was in the car and also different then the original top loader that was in the car. The new Texas Transmission T101A is a heavy duty gearbox from some Nascar or related type of racing. It’s similar to a T10, but bigger in some dimensions. The first issue was to “get the shifter in the hole”. So the blown engine block was bolted to the Tilton bell housing and then transmission and dropped back in the car. Motorator Matt helps out the Professor in some minor hacking to the transmission tunnel. Against better judgment Ganz didn’t cut enough…

Adam Carolla and Sandy Ganz meet up with racing legend Bobby Rahal and business partner Peter Stoneberg of Legends of Motorsports. The Legends of Motorsports is a new vintage racing series and discuss what makes that era of racing great. Then we pop out to take a look at two cars that Bobby and Peter hauled in for us, and yes we fire them both up so you can hear both old school and new school. Enjoy!
