The truck sports a Banks-boosted, 5.9 L Cummins 6-cylinder turbo-diesel that delivers 975 ft-lbs of torque. Not that often you see a 1900+ Hp Diesel Race Truck. Mike Ryan’s Freightliner is just that. With it producing close to 2000hp on Diesel fuel, it no wonder this truck produces some spectacular results on the track and places such as Pikes Peak. This ‘lightweight’ Freightliner weights in at just about the 9900 pound mark, features a 2 huge turbocharges and numerous other tricks to allow this truck to perform, well, crazy fast as well as handle well enough to compete in Pikes Peak and finish near the top of the marks. We won’t say how cool it was to see it come to the shop in Gulf Racing Livery!

Our Featured Car of the week is the Big Oly Bronco Trophy Truck which is owned by Marshall Madruga. Marshall was inspired by the Parnelli Jones driven Oly Bronco from the 70’s and decided to a modern rendition of Parnelli’s Ford Bronco. Not much Ford in his, but it’s in right the spirit. Many people came together to help build this truck including Troy from Ford Performance Solutions who built the very healthy motor. And yes this is street legal… so far.

This weeks featured car, well, truck was built by Bodie Stroud (BS Hot Rods). The 1956 Supercharged Ford F100 was built for Bodie’s Father-in-law. It features a supercharged small block Chevy, and all the nice work one can expect from a Son-in-law. Bodie wouldn’t admit who got the better end of the bargain, but the truck is smoking hot. Even Sonny takes a look at the Ford and gives it thumbs up!
