Way to go Aceman on JKLive with the joke on the backpack, Lamborghini Murcielago paint Scuderia Red! Pretty sure Furruchio Lamborghini turned in his grave hearing that, hahaha. Funny as always though, go BRE Datsun…

Love the trouble with how to drink water with the helmet on. How did you not mention that during the commentary!

That thing you did with the the tire we used to call a “tubeless tire patch.” I hope you pointed out that you can’t do that to a tire that has a tube in it. My dad owned a service station and we used to do that while the wheel was on the car. The trick is to keep the air pressure up so the hole constricts onto the plug and seals it.

Yeah, we did it off the wheel so you could see the inside, and for the most part unless your running something vintage you won’t have that tube but good to mention. Funny thing is that the wire wheels that are floating around the shop all use tubes but Ace always just says to give it a try without and it never works.

I’m thinking that mystery car with the Cortina taillights may have been a TVR Griffith. Do a Google search for “TVR Griffith rear”
and there’s one small pic on page 3.

The race group was called B-Sedan, not I guess they lump all those cars together, I think Sedan is a loose term that fits the car as well since its not like a coupe which has limited seating in the rear, the rear of the 610 could hold a couple of small kids 😉

Also, regarding the “dog-leg” transmission shift pattern, it’s designed like that for faster shifting between 2nd and 3rd gear where most of the action occurs when racing.

I own a PV122 Volvo, a newer and “sportier” incarnation of the 544, which ended in 1963. The Volvo 2litre is good for 200hp or so with 2 Webers on it. I know the dude with the Volvo at Coronado. The problem with it is not the build, but the weight of the car. It weighs 2700lbs or more in stock form, Also, this is a decade older car than Adam is running. PV1800 is a much better racing car. I know, Volvo and racing!
