CarCast Pebble Beach Road Trip *NEW VIDEOS*

August 29, 2009

Adam, Sandy, Don and David hit the road for Pebble Beach and the Monterey Historics. This is just the audio section, we will have more of this even shortly. The show starts with the drive up and a variety of guests including Pete Brock of BRE fame. We catch up with some folks from the Peterson Automotive museum and chat about Elvis Pressley’s shot up Pantera. All good times, and lets not forget the delicious cheese and wine…

Thanks for the podcast. Jay Leno has a bunch of photos up on his site from this years Pebble Beach event.

Got any clunkers you don’t want anymore? I need one more than ambient heating in my floor. Really?

Hey guys love the podcasts. I heard you saying at the beginning of this Carcast that the audio is awful. I downloaded the file and tried to run it through some EQ’s and Filters to take out some of the distortion. I have a purified Mp3 if you guys want to hear it and see if you like it better than the mp3 that’s currently up. Hit me up Weazer.

Loved the show, especially with the vintage motors screaming in the background. Sound quality be damned………it was great.
any old Mini’s on the track?

Hey Weazer. Cut yourself some fucking slack. Given the budget you guys are working with, the quality is fine. Besides, I would rather have great content filtered through a microphone in a fucking bathroom stall than great quality of shitty conversations.

    Keep it up guys.

Great carcast. Thanks Donny for the little PSA at the beginning. It’s a lot easier to get through some bad audio if you’re prepared for it, twas greatly appreciated.

Guys, your target market is people who listen to podcasts. You have to do something about your filenames. We already have a ton of stuff on our mp3 players- naming your files a jumble of numbers is means the show is going to get lost and I wont become a regular listener.

A $5.00 set of headphones fixed the audio enough to enjoy a funny and interesting live broadcast at a premiere event.
Thanx, it’s awesome what you’re doing.

Sounds like you guys all had fun and saw some nice cars.

I’m not one to bitch about sound quality or crap my pants when Donny doesn’t have his mic turned-up. Unfortunately, I couldn’t get very far with the podcast because of the sound this time.

I enjoy the podcast and I’m glad you’re not keeping it simple for easy digestion. It would be nice to have more of Jay Leno’s philosophy and history to complement Adam’s aesthetics and Ganz’s tech(?).

    ace-man and weez-

great podcast. nice to see you highlight the CSL. that is a fantastic car, and fun to drive. i was wondering if you guys flew up there or drove, and what car you took if you drove.

oh, and weez, we now share two fine loves in life. the love for sweet maryjane, and the love for one bad ass Ford GT-40, which is my favorite car.

    Donnie, you fucking suck.

I like to smoke as much as the next guy, but you’re such a fucking pothead, you can’t even record a podcast. Either realize this is a (soon to be) real commercial (i.e. professional) venture and get on the good foot, or get the fuck out of the way.

And Saturday night, and still no video?

Ace, this, along with the Acecast, has the potential to be something special (and profitable). No matter how far back you go, you can’t let a pothead friend fuck it up.

I know you worked your ass off on the Manshow. How would that have worked out if you’d been high all the time?
