Bodie Stroud of BS Industries comes by and talks with Adam and Matt about working as a car customizer. They discuss the business of making hot rods and kustoms, as well as building the hot dog car Adam drove (and crashed) in a soap box derby.

Then we move out to the parking lot and check out the immaculate 1960 Starliner, also known as “The Scarliner.” Built by Bodie and BS Industries, The Scarliner is powered by a Ford GT powertrain that makes 550 hp at 6,500 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque at 3,750 rpm, per Ford specs.

Dan Edmunds is the director of vehicle testing at Edmunds.com. He was a development engineer for Toyota at their proving grounds in Arizona.

Edmunds worked with Ivan Stewart on Toyota’s TRD Off-Road package. He then left Toyota for Hyundai, running the chassis and brake tuning department. Jay Leno’s master mechanic Bernard Juchli is this week’s guest on CarCast. Adam Carolla and Matt D’Andria talk with the man behind all of the restorations and maintenance at Jay Leno’s famous Big Dog garage.
