Bodie Stroud and the Scarliner Custom

March 10, 2012

Bodie Stroud of BS Industries comes by and talks with Adam and Matt about working as a car customizer. They discuss the business of making hot rods and kustoms, as well as building the hot dog car Adam drove (and crashed) in a soap box derby.

Then we move out to the parking lot and check out the immaculate 1960 Starliner, also known as “The Scarliner.” Built by Bodie and BS Industries, The Scarliner is powered by a Ford GT powertrain that makes 550 hp at 6,500 rpm and 500 lb-ft of torque at 3,750 rpm, per Ford specs.

Bodie Stroud reminds me of a nicer younger Jesse James. I am green with envy over your talent. I really like the 60’s cars vision of non popular vehicles of the day. All these cars had art and Fun shway.

You can definitely tell when Adam sees something he likes. And there’s no reason to think why he wouldn’t love Bodie’s creations. Attention to detail is amazing!

Bodie’s cars definetely seem to be drivers (saw a show on Hot Rod TV about his shop)
