Adam Carolla and Sandy Ganz sit down and pick up the phone and help with some car purchase plans, as well as give some tune up advice. Some how the Professors Food poisoning comes up, and what that has to do with cars is anyone’s guess. This weeks show features Jack Duha’s CAV GT40, and a quick trip out to BS Hot Rods where Bodie Stroud talks a bit about Johnny Depp’s 51 Merc. Enjoy the Show!

What’s appealing about the M Coupe is its menacing styling — evil, almost. The ideal car for hoodlums. I imagine if they remade “A Clockwork Orange”, that would be the car. “The Durango-95 purred away real horrorshow – a nice, warm, vibraty feeling all through your guttiwuts.”
Great episode. LOVE CARCAST!
I love the comments on the cliche Gulf colors while standing in front of a building with a Gulf themed paint job!
Enjoyable show as always!
I’m also a big fan of the M Coupe; especially the ’99 model and I’d love to hear more of Adam’s thoughts on it. Could it be a good investment car? They seem to go on ebay for $30k+.
Great show guys. Is Johnny Depp cool with showing his car like that? Is their any way Mike August can get him on Carcast to talk about that car or any of his cars? Thanks for the show guys!
Good shit. the Ace Man seems a little baked, yes? love th 1st gen M coupe too.
I agree with Ace, bring back the M Coupe. Good episode fellas.
Love the car casts as always!
i always thought that it would be cool to get some high res shots of adams cars and the guests cars to use as desktop wallpapers. This episodes cars would be a perfect example of it. its hard to find just s good shot of a unique car, and you guys have them coming to you all the time. Plus you guys could have the car cast logo on it along with some sponsor logos.
just an idea….keep up the great work!
I can do that, usually the posts image at the beginning is resized to fit the page by the system, but I can make it a bit larger if that helps. You can get the full size image by just clicking it. Just need to remember to not shrink it up as much. I think currently they are 800×600 when not a photo of us sitting on the sofa.

“It’s a Porsch-uh transmission and it’s goin in a tribute car” and then Sandy mispronounces Ruf. Thanks for the laughs guys and keep up the good work!
Ganz,
I have 7.3 Excursion and have a quick question. It has 145,000 on it and runs great for the most part, the problem I am having is every once in a while it will “chug” it low throttle, like it surges. Any Ideas what this could be?
Hey Fellow ‘X’ driver!
I have never had the low speed surge/chug had others mention it on the Diesel forums. Every once in a while I get a bit of rough idle but not that much. The place that will know exactly what’s up will be this site called ‘The Diesel Stop‘ (http://www.thedieselstop.com/) They have a special section for Diesel Excursion. Been really helpful when doing a power steering pump and a few other mods like rear sway bar. I’m right at 115k or so now and still running strong. Frequent oil changes are good for that motor, and I have seen cold running differences with different oils. I now try to run Rotella T Synthetic in it and seems not to do the cold ‘cackle’ as much as some of the other oils when cold. Also just popped in a Spectre Performance gauze air filter the other day and seems to work ok. They also sent a new cold air intake kit, but no time to do the install. The only problem now is my passenger door ajar switch has gone bad so have to take the door apart and get a new switch as it’s part of the door latch. Pain in the a$$.
Sandy
Thanks for the input, I have read everything from dirty oil to ful injectors, it is due for an oil change. I have used Rotella 15-40 since i have had it (6 years) Ill give the synthetic a try. I have used the hell out of this truck and it just keeps going. I tow a 14,000 toy hauler 5 or 6 times a year, and so far so good. It was good talking to you, keep up the good work.
Respectfully,
Jerry
If you dont have time to install the cold air intake, send it my way, I have time!!
I had a 95 Grand Cherokee like the one the caller had and everything you guys said was good advice to get his Jeep running strong. The one MAJOR factor that nobody brought up is, that engine he is running was designed to run only High Octane fuel. If your a tight at the pump and only feed the Jeep Regular Gas, it will not run well and will feel like it’s timing is all off. I got some bad gas in Baja once and it took a couple months before I could get it all out of my fuel lines.
