Clarification to a portion of this episode discussing early 911 Porsches:
1965-1973 MY (Model Year) are considered the ‘Early 911’.
1965-1968 are the SWB (Short Wheel Base) models.
1969-1973 are the LWB (Long Wheel Base) models. The LWB model range consisted of the 911T (Touring – Carbureted), 911E (Einspritzung – German for Mechanical Fuel Injection – MFI) and 911S (Sport – also equipped with MFI). By 1972 MY, all USA models were MFI and in 1973 the ‘T’ model changed over from MFI to CIS (Continuous Injection System) as a mid-year change. CIS continued on all USA models until the early 1980’s.
Targa is a body style available on all 911 models.
