Great episode conversation and guest wise, not the best engine revs recorded in CarCast history though Ganz ; )

Ha that how it goes with a Stock 58′ T-bird and a Stock 2002tii

AWESOME episode. CarCast is the best, seriously.

Could use a little video quality improvement. It looks like you guys are using a 5 year old Flip Mino camcorder to record the video haha, and it’s very compressed. Not sure what was up with the color in the T-bird vid. Still, better than nothing!

Keep up the great work! It’s funny how huge celebrities and non-celebrities are all on the same level when it comes to talking about cars. It’s like a great equalizer.

Aceman great podcast. I noticed you show a different car every show from friends, family or persons of interest. Was wondering if you are in need of more cars to show. Im 55 and have a 1969 Champagene Gold 390 cid Mustang Mach 1. My first car when I was 16 was a 69 Mach 1 and this car is fully optioned with Marti report. All options available for the 69 were put on this car. Cruise control, tilt away wheel, factory a/c, am 8 track stero. fold down rear sport seat, factory tachometer, and intermitent wipers( first year ford put them on cars All options work great even cruise control…really wierd on a hotrod. I believe you and donny would appreciate the blast from the past and if you are interested I would be honored to show it to you. Thx Mike

Adam, Did I just hear a smoke detector beep?

    Its a 2002 Tii. NOT 2000..

    Wheels are e30.

    TEP strut brace guys..

    Jezus.. no clutch fan!

    Whoh! He knew K-fish!

Dang.. originally Inka 72. That’s too bad.. All original eh?!

No… the antenna was always on the pillar. LOL

The green is a dummy button in most cases, a switch for the fogs otherwise..

Driving a slow car fast is always more fun than driving a fast car slow.. Wait! I said it first.. LOL dang it.

Artsy? BMW’s are waaay more muscular throughout every model line than ANY american brand..

    Funny episode!

Sandy, i think you should get a look at Mike’s stang from idaho…sounds cool all those options on a car that old

    White balance guys white balance.

Yep, it was taken right out of the studio wall for some shooting and I’m guessing that is the problem, it’s a new camera and I think not yet dialed in.

    Hey Guys,

Can you ask guests to consider doing burnouts along with the revs? This may be a bit of wishful thinking…

Great show guys. Not a fan of Mexican Blackbird but 2002 looked great. Will you guys be posting video of your trip to Pebble Beach this year?

    • CarCast August 24, 2010

Pebble beach is coming. We have what looks like GOOD audio this year and much better video. I think the Weez himself is going to start working on it. Lots of good footage including an interview with Frank Stephenson design director at McLaren. We get a peek close up at the MP4-12C and lots of other good stuff.

I will admit I am not nor was ever a car nut. But thanks to Carcast and Adam I have learned volumes of car knowledge and feel like my testosterone level just shot up astronomically.

Great show….Car Cast is a hidden gem in the podcast world. I want Ace to work in the “never correct me on camera” line into every show. Always cracks me up….along with his reference to “shoulder rolls” Scott – Cape Cod, Mass

Love the show guys! I think Martin could be a little more enthusiastic about his 2002tii though. He doesn’t like the smell of the interior and the car is too slow. He’s lucky to own such a great little car. Tell him to slap some Panasports on there, add some rally lights and participate in some driving events like the California Melee or Targa California. He’ll quickly grow to love his BMW.

    • CarCast August 26, 2010

He really does love the 2002tii I can assure you. I think he was a bit taken back being on camera. We have talked about it prior to him getting it and after and he was nothing but excited. I do now know what the green switch is and I’ll mess with him a bit 😉

Best line – “Scoop Delete, you’re working with Ford Flash!” Haha, I love the CarCast. I’m with Cape Cod Carolla up there, I miss the “Don’t ever correct me…” line. Maybe not every time, but mix it back in once in a while. For some reason, it always made me laugh.

    Keep up the good work!
