It sounds to me like Ace and company are just really busy folks. You can’t do a weekly TV show and expect to have tons of time left over for other stuff (e.g., podcast) at the same level of intensity as before.

I have looked at all of these roughly $10k cars. S2000 have held their value really well. A clean used one is well over 20K still. I suppose since the car was discontinued, they held a fan base, thus a good resale value. A boxter is a really good used car though yes, pricey to keep alive down the road. Also, look at insurance rates. WRX is a small fortune to insure. Want a barnstormer? Buy a used Lotus Elise. Toyota powerplant, insane performance, used for $20-25K. Very low miles on most of them too.
