Show Summary
Adam Carolla and the Professor Sandy Ganz sit down with Tim Suddard. Tim is the publisher of two great automobile magazines, Grassroots Motorsports and Classic Motorsports. These are true enthusiast magazines with no fluff. A nice conversation on vintage cars and racing ensues with all the usual diversions you have come to expect. Enjoy the show!

Great show as always guys. Sandy, tell the Ace Man the Ranchero came out 2 years before the El Camino!!! You guys have found the perfect formula of mixing all the new innovations going on in cars and motor sports with all the good ol’ days talk and vintage stuff. Keep up the great work.
I’ll bring that up and see what kind of response that gets 😉 It will be good for messing with him 😉
Sandy
Even though there was no featured car, nor video, I don’t miss it every once in a while. I like the occasional CarCast that I can listen to without thinking I’m missing the something (the video) as I listen.
Thanks guys!
Yeah, it was an easy show to get together, not much in the way of pictures, etc. It was just like a real podcast! We will fix that next week 😉
Sandy
I get Classic & Sports Car for little daydreaming and I get Classic Motorsports for inspiration. Great show guys, I do miss the video but one week isn’t going to kill me.
Great show fellas. Love Carcast!!
The only thing wrong with this carcast, is that it’s not on every day.
Tim Suddard is a genius. His group produces the finest automotive geared products ever to have been created. Everyone must do the Rolex 24 with Grassroots before they die. Keep up the good work!
Great show as always.
Have you ever considered Cal Worthington as a guest for a future show?
He would be AWESOME, do you have any contact info for Cal? He has to be about 140 years old by now.
Sandy
“They say you never want to meet your hero.” I met ADam once, and he was AWESOME!!!!!! I told him I was a huge fan of the podcast and he was thankful then told me that Donny and Sandy would be around later and that I should come over to the car trailer later and hang out. I wish I had! Coronado next year baby!!!!!
You guys got a little carried away at the end with the Porsche stuff IMHO.
The ’89 911 Speedster was always expensive. Even when they were brand new, they sold for way more than a standard cabriolet. The really rare one that we did not get was the narrowbody version that they have in Europe, those are big bucks!
The Cayman R is a standard Cayman with some stiffer springs and weight reduction by stripping the radio and a/c out of the car, I don’t think the value is really there. The Boxster Spyder on the other hand, with its unique top mechanism and lighter weight due to the lack of a power top is definitely a future collectible.
’80s Cabriolets can be had for under 20K all day long, they are no more desirable than any other run-of-the-mill 911 of the same era.
You guys are spot-on about the early 911 market though. You could buy early 911Ss all day long in the ’90s for 6 to 8 grand for a solid driver with zero to minimal rust…now they’re 40+…hell, a nice T will set you back 20K minimum.
It was a good show and Tim’s a solid guest and I like how he bounces his own $.02 off of Adam and Sandy’s comments.
Love the show. Come to Alberta, Aceman. $20/hour for pilot truck driver. Gotta Love our dirty oil as it pays the bills.
