You know when you interview some guests, they don’t open up and are a bad interview. Lauren was the opposite. Congratulations on keeping Ace quiet for more than 25 seconds. Great stories, very knowledgeable, this is what Carcast is all about. Thanks guys for another awesome free show.
Great Carcast guys!
Lauren was a very knowledgeable guest with some pretty strong opinions and real racing history.
I agree with Jim’s comments…I think she actually spoke more than Adam…that has to be a first! I didn’t mind as she was quite enjoyable to listen too,
I stumbled across the show recently and am now a regular listener. Ace – come run with us PCA guys on the East Coast sometime.
I wish car companies made it so that when you drop something between the center console and the seat it didn’t fall into that unreachable spot between the two.
ACE,
Digging the shows! Read Taco Bell, dam I’m 51 you and your gang did some real stupid shit… Keep up the good the good shows. I love the Rack n Roll guests, and the other guys were right, Lauren Fix (is a hot MILF and Very do-able) but she was also very sharp and kept up with you.
When Adam passes someone should start an Ace Man Museum. All the cars, couple of velvet paintings, speakers with Carcast on, and some TV’s with the Man Show.
I’m going to pull a Ray here and call it like I see it. Lauren was annoying as shit. I’ll be the first to admit she knows way more about racing and wrenching than I do, but you don’t have to jam it down our throats by dropping a comment proving your extensive knowledge about EVERY point made on the show. I guess as a chick you have to have that attitude to be taken seriously, but there is something to be said for playing it a little more close to the vest.
You’re not wrong. I had to turn it off, it was all ‘LOOK AT ME! I’M A GIRL! LISTEN TO THIS CRAZY STUFF WOMEN AREN’T SUPPOSED TO DO’
When a woman starts with the ‘I was always a tomboy’ I know where it’s going.
Ace,
I know you’ve been in the market for a new car, I have 2 suggestions for you to check out/test drive. The Mazdaspeed 3 is a nice little wagon, the 2.3 Mazda engine is excellent, and makes nice power with the turbo. 263 HP and 280 ft-lbs torque. The Nissan Sentra SE-R is a nice little car, the Sentra runs/drives excellent, and is amazingly reliable. The Spec-V makes 200 HP. Both of these cars have excellent road handling, fit and finish, and are priced nicely. Replacement parts are as cheap as they come, and the engineering is simple compared to the German stuff. Both should scoot around LA easily.
I’ve been a fan of your stuff for a long time, we need more shows like “The Man Show” on TV in this politically correct world. Would love to see you on Top Gear USA but I understand it probably won’t happen. You’re almost an American Jeremy Clarkson, whom I highly respect as well.
Have a good one,
Bill
Ace Man,
Check your engine mounts. (I’m assuming they are on the right and left side of the engine) Easy thing to check and if one has failed could be the solution to your problem. If the engine mount is loose on one side it could cause the engine to bounce more during those right hand turns, excessive bouncing will screw up the function of your carburetors. This might not be the issue but it is an easy thing to check. I don’t think it is related to the fuel pick up location in the tank since your fuel line would cary plenty of fuel and the issue happens as soon as you are in the turn.

Impressed at Lauren’s knowledge of cars, and Shelby products specifically. But damn does she talk fast. Easy on the 5-Hour Energy, baby.
I’d hit that…..in the face with a shovel
