Dax Shepard’s Ducati

August 12, 2009

Dax Shepard show off his Ducati Hypermotard 1100S. I Wonder what a regular ‘motard’ looks like… Hot bike even with the funny name. And yes we fire it up!

Does Duwhoppie sell hyper-tard training wheels for that bike? But seriously, the front faring needs a re-design. Or just a removal.

First of all, he needs to get a Termignoni pipe on that thing, now.

Second, he really screwed up the lines by pulling the handguards and adding the mirror stalks. They look horrible on this bike. I understand that doing so makes it a tiny bit easier to split lanes in California, but still.

Third, those rear footpegs have to go. Seriously, it’s only two bolts each, and putting a chick on the back of this bike is ludicrous anyway.

Fourth, not having the Ducati Performance seat is a rookie move, too.

Fifth, why he hasn’t yanked the charcoal canister off the bike is a mystery to me as well.

Finally, buying this bike in black instead of red is perhaps the most egregious error of all.

Is it obvious that I have a red Hyper with a Termi?

i love this.. bike looks sick, if i were to get one id defenitely consider this one.. and i also love the way you put the sounds of the bike as you were doing multiple views.. do that more

Beautiful looking machine, but there’s alot missing in the performance dept. For the money get a BMW..seriously, for less money get a honda. DAX completes the picture of the Motard…beyond hyper to Ultra-Retard….sorry specially abled.

    Great Podcast.

Ducati, A bike for those who appreciated real bikes. Good to see a celeb that is down to earth and enjoys the simple things in life. Keeping it real just like Adam, shorts and all.
Keep up the good work Donnie,,do not know if you do all the web work yourself, keep on keeping it simple, especially the Navigation. Key to any good site of course….
Would like to hear Dax on the regular podcast as well.
    Thanks. A regular listener.

What’s that clicking sound during all of the podcasts? Sounds like someone’s lighting a cigaratte but you never hear anyone smoking.

great guest, great bike. i’m embarrassed for these other guys that have come here and posted negative comments on his bike. sure a pipe would be nice, but to criticize in list form is… poor form.

i raced aprilia superbikes for three seasons, so i have an appreciation for any fellow bike bike fan.

thanks for the cast, ace. great work.

I have this same bike in black, the braking power cannot be overstated and i’m glad Dex isn’t one of the celebrity douchebags with the $80K Desmosedici’s , and a P51 mustang trainer for that matter (you know who you are!). He should have left the stock mirrors w/ LED turn signals and fold out mirrors imo..they make the bike and maintain the ‘motard look. Great podcast!

I can’t believe it’s really called that! That is possibly the worst name for anything, ever. 😀 The only thing worse than a motard is a HYPER motard. Unbelievable.

They made a three-wheeler called the Mega Dipshit. Got one of those? 😉

I’d love to see his Lincoln when it’s done. I like the concept ever since I read about someone “NASCARing” a Cadillac Seville back in the day!

Ace, what you need to do is get Donny or whoever edits the podcast to mark the times of video overlap sections. That way you can stop the podcast, watch the video, and then fast forward to the next section of the podcast.

Carcast is a very enjoyable podcast — keep up the good work.
