Another shitty audio quality cast, but it looks like there’s another one loaded up. Why not just do it right the first time? Donny, didn’t you learn anything from the minibike tire incident. Get it on.

Reload the podcast. The first cut of the audio had a problem when it was compressed for some reason. The new file is good. Either play from the site or do the download directly if your having problems with iTunes.

Lots of pics! Looking forward to listenig to it. Drove by SEMA every day last week but did not go in. Thanks again for doing all this guys….

guys, I sometimes rag on some of the guests you have on the regular podcast, and definitely don’t like it when Adam rags on Donny (it is really uncomfortable listening to it), but this is just a great f’ing podcast. I really enjoyed listening to every minute of it.

Isn’t Camaro the feature car of SEMA because I now they had dozens of them there. Come on Ganz start influencing Carolla to get into GM some more. He talks about Le Mans every Carcast yet no Corvette love either. Tragic.

I have the your ‘domestic’ back. We did have Jay’s Vett as well as one coming up with another blown Corvette. I’m not a huge fan of the style of the vett’s (getting better) but I do really dig the engineering and how well they work.

Not a giant fan of Government Motors as Camaro’s are still heavy heaps of junk. Like corvette’s though. Wouldn’t mind some more content on them.

Another great podcast…it was like I actually attended SEMA! Lot’s of great pics.

The announcement regarding the LS3 crate motor could be huge for the Hot Rod guys. I’m not too sure it’s going to be a big benefit in the Cobra replica market, since few guys go with a GM power plant and none of the big kit manufacturers sell a roller that is compatible with a GM drive train.

I’d love to throw an LS3 with an automatic in a hot rod and not have to worry about SB100.

The GM Performance LS3 is an enabler, and if you’re in the Kit/Tribute/Clone car business you just found a nice way to sell more cars in states like CA for folks that want to get them registered and not deal with SB100 and related BS. The driveline changes would be a different gearbox (same cost for a ford or chevy), new headers, and not much work on the rest of the goods.

Ford better get moving on the competitive package 😉

And nothing wrong with an all aluminum injected smog legal SBC for the 8-9k range. Oh and under factory warranty. When all said and done it’s a really great idea.

    Adam,

    “hobopower per ton”

They list Power to Weight for cars in “horsepower per ton” For example, a Mercedes S600 has around 500bhp but weighs 4600lbs so its Power to Weight is about 217 bhp/ton.

A Lotus doesn’t have a lot of power but it’s light. Flavor Flav might not smell worse outright than say a sweaty Artie Lang or Penn Jillette, but he would beat them in Stank to Weight.

    Nice cast and pictures but…

Adam, you’re fat brah. I think you’re getting a little to Tony Soprano here. You’re sitting up on the the hill, in your palace, and you got Carmela cooking up a veal parm with a good pinot every night… And you’re starting to pork up the joint. How many fat guys do they give sitcoms to…? One. Jim Belushi. And that’s because he is ‘jolly fat guy.’ You are not jolly. You are grumpy. And fat grumpy guys are just not likable.

I know god damn well that you can speed rope for a solid hour without stopping, so this shouldn’t be that fucking hard. Jesus Christ…. Ganz, yell at his tubby has, no one needs to see that shit.

Still no video? C’mon guys that’s what I look forward to all week long. It’s kind of a let down when early Saturday morning rolls around and there’s no video. I could be mistaken but I thought I heard Adam telling us on the last carcast that there would be a special Sema episode with video coming 11/7. And yes I saw the “video coming shortly” note but that barely got me through Saturday. It’s now Sunday and still nothing. Is it because you guys need to up the download count for advertisers, and when you release the video on time most people just watch the video and don’t bother with the download? I don’t know I can’t figure it out but I know it’s not just because Donny is lazy. And I apologize for sounding like an ass, I really do. I’m appreciative of the work put in but still, how about some video? (boy will I feel like a bigger dick than Adam if the video is up right after I click SUBMIT COMMENT)

    Hey Guys,

Thanks so much for this podcast. I am expecting my first child in a few days and could never make it to this event. Thanks for bringing it to me. Nice to see you have sponsors. Soon I will be very busy with baby, so hope to find time to listen in the coming months.

    Brian

  9. Dave

Sandy – did you ever find out about the “tires you can feed to you children” from the Pirelli rep? Haha. Anyway, sounded like a fun time. Thanks for the great podcast guys

    1. CarCast Post author

It really wasn’t the Pirelli rep that made the statement, it was Horacio Pagani (Of Zonda R fame) through a translator. I figured I would bring it up but he was nervous when I did 🙂

Adam: Glad to meet you briefly in the central hall. Keep up the fun stuff!
Based on the recent episode, current BMWs with iDrive have “Parked car ventilation… Like my E90 M3 Sedan.

    Best regards,
