Adam’s Miura

It’s finally here, and not a minute too soon. This episode we haul down to Bobileff Motorcar Company to pick up Adam’s restored Miura. We take you through a bit of the work done on the car as well as a chat with Gary Bobileff who performed the work on the car. In the true spirit of Carolla, this car has been worked out to be a masterpiece work of automotive art. The Miura S has been modified to be more like the SV model, wider fenders, and much of the SV treatment. Some special touches include wider front and rear rims (with matching vintage tires) to fill out the wheel wells. And just for fun we tossed in Adam firing up an ultra rare Lamborghini SV/J (Jota). Check out the picture gallery for the journey…

Shhh, I do enough hauling peoples cars, last thing I want to be doing is towing a car to Monterey!

Wow, I love the before and afters. The subtleties in changes take the car from awesome to super awesome.

  3. Brian Davis February 15, 2010

The car looks awesome. Would like to see some more pics.

Will be getting some more of them as I’m sure it will get another cameo.

Ok, I get the picture now,

That was you guys travelling up the I 5 Freeway the other day through Laguna Niguel when you came up to me in my ’03 Cooper S, Blue with white stripe down the middle. That thing, :o)) on the trailer almost made me go off the freakin’ road !! as I couldn’t take my eyes off the beautiful lines of the car. Unbelievable curves, great color combo., and crap, I couldn’t even find my camera to take a pic.. Glad that I am seeing it now. A beaututiful piece of art. Thanks for sharing !!

Right after Adam bought this beauty, I actually saw one in rush hour traffic here in MN on I494, what the guy was doing there I don’t know, but you need to see one of these in person to see just how cool they are. Nice job on the wheels, meaty.

Would love to see more shots of the restored car, and especially the interior. We appreciate all you guys do, but it would be a plus to have some slightly larger images. Just like porn, bigger is better!

Adam has good reason to be proud of this Italian beauty.

That it is the most beautiful Lambo ever created, IMHO. Love it!!!

Come on, Donny! I know that Mac Pro can encode a 15 minute video quicker than 48 hours 😉

Ha, it’s not a technology problem, just not enough time in the day for us to get all the content up and out with all the other sites and work going on.

I like the regular podcast just fine (especially when you are pulling a Charlie Rose routine with someone interesting, e.g. Christof ? from Inglorious Basterds or Francis Ford C), but I have to say I just love the carcast, and I’m not really even a car guy! I mean I like cars and I’ll look at a car magazine in the doctor’s office, but I would be perfectly content with 3 cars, max. That said, I love the Carcast program. Keep it up!

I’m sure I’m going against the grain, but what the hell, somebody needs to shit in the punchbowl… I don’t get everybody fawning over the supposed beauty of this car. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t think it’s ugly… Most of the modern Asain shitboxes (with a few exceptions) are what I reserve for the word “ugly”.

These old-school eurocars remind me of the automotive version of Shakespeare. You know you’ve read more interesting books, but you’re supposed to love Shakespeare because all the smart people love Shakespeare.

To me I see a nice rear roofline, then a set of generic taillights that look like they were robbed from a boat trailer. A nice flow over the quarter panel, interrupted by a panel gap that looks like it was cut with a band-saw. A sleek hood with sewer grates dropped-in. A sinister front end, with goofy huge smiley-face headlights.

Sorry guys… Let the hate begin. I love Adam, and being Italian, I want to love this car… but it just looks like a kit-car shop project to me.

Easily my favorite supercar, came out the year I was born, and this one is FANTASTIC. Love it.

A guy in my town has a brown one, he drives it every so often and I litterally drop my jaw when I see it in person… every time.

Thanks Sandy & Adams for all the *free* content. You guys look like you’re having fun and even an electric vehicles nut like me can appreciate a nice old-fashion petrol car. Makes me feel 19 again…

BTW, is that me or Adam is way too tall for this car. Me think he should give it to Sandy 😉
