I now understand the appeal of “dish” in wire wheels.

Great episode. I regret not having stopped in the Petersen museum when I lived in the South Bay. I guess I just couldn’t tear myself away from the grandeur of the Tar Pits!

Does anyone else remember going to Harrah’s Auto Museum in Reno? I did as a kid in the 70’s with my parents and remember the overdose of car exposure in several warehouses (I remember at least 3) full of cars of all vintages and types, street and race. I understand the collection was sold off when Harrah died. Too, bad. That may have been the largest private collection ever.

I’d like to hear more about Shelby’s connection to the Corvette. What happened that caused him to go to AC for the Cobra?

Is that the valve train Im hearing (besides the exhaust note)? Anyone else notice that? Or is it the mechanical fuel injection pump drives?

I heard that rackety engine noise too (glorious, yes?). I was thinking maybe solid lifters, but I think you are correct about the mechanical fuel injection.
