Adam, cool roadster. I had a 1966 1600 I ran in the SCCA solo series. Running at Riverside back in the day, priceless.

Are we going to get to see a ‘Featured Car’ segment on Adam’s new CSL soon? I was keeping up with the podcasts and was pretty excited to hear he was looking for one and awaiting more info once it was acquired. Thanks for all the shows across the board guys, great work.
PS, just thew a few Amazon nickels your way and it’s nice to have a way to give back.
    Enjoy

Hey Adam – Everytime I see a photo of this incredible and beautiful No. 44 BRE 2000 Datsun Roadster, together with all its unique history with Pete Brock’s BRE Team, I remember it fondly. Kinda makes me want to reach for a shop rag to clean her up again. It is appreciated that you acquired this historic race car … which has been so masterfully restored by Les Cannaday !!!

BTW, back then while it was being developed and then racing-season campaigned, you would have loved the powerful sounds of the 2000 motor getting its workouts on the BRE engine dyno.

Hi Adam I have a 1966 I have had it for a long time I blew the 1600 on the Freeway coming home. As you know the 66s Had a real heating problem.
I always went to Les for help with the car while I was there in the shop he had a U20 on the engine stand where he was building for a big director, the director lost interest in the project, so I talked him into selling it to me with a 5 speed trainee.
I put into the car with not too much of a hustle.
She’s my baby I have had several offers to buy it, of coarse I have turned them down every time. Mine is set up just like yours but strictly street.
One more thing I worked at KROQ the same time you were on with Jimmy Kimble Those were some of the best times in my radio career. I really miss the old KROQ I live in Oregon, How I got here is a long story
My car was white at that time I had a 1968 2000 Red of course.
I put that one into a tree outside of Riverside at about 1 am, It almost killed me, but I still have a Roadster and would not give it up of anything. I am painting it red like my 68

When I saw that you had one I had to write you to let you know that I am not the only one crazy enough to have one and drive it all around town.

Oh Well I am stuck up here in Sweet Home Oregon

Keep it out of the Red you don’t want to through the Cam Chain
