    All these motors, were subject to WILD vibrations at idle, as you eventually saw. While not an issue on an injected car, on the carbureted car it might have made a difference in tuning at idle.

    That green button is for the Fog Lights.

    I used to work with a guy who had a 2002, not sure which year. He always told me that he would just drive the bejeezus out of it. Since it’s so light, you can just fling it around corners, slide it around and have a blast. Keep an eye out for Alan DeCadenet’s show “Victory By Design” (great show, btw) – he did one on Ford, and included a Lotus Cortina. He said pretty much the same thing about how even though it’s “just” a 2.0L 4-banger, you could drive it flat out and have fun. Later in the same episode, he drove a big-block Shelby Cobra and talked about how much of a handful it was.

    Love this car. I have a ’74 project sitting in my garage waiting for an engine swap. Used to love the roundies but have seen the light with the square tail lights. Can’t wait to get it rolling. Carcast should do a show with the guys who drop M3 mills into these to create crazy-fast M2s.

    Love these early “roundie” tailight cars. Nice color but I’ve never fully gotten accustomed to seeing the E30 wheels on these cars. Otherwise a nice piece.

    The green button on the center console is for the rear fog light (which that car is probably not equipped with).
